Alix Puhl nominated as finalist for the German Startup Awards 2023

On May 11th, the winners of the German Startup Awards 2023 will be announced at TIPI AM KANZLERAMT in Berlin. The jury has nominated three women and three men in four categories (Impact Entrepreneur of the Year, Founder of the Year, Newcomer of the Year, and Investor of the Year). Alix Puhl, founder of tomoni mental health, is one of the three finalists in the Impact Entrepreneur of the Year category. In this category, a person is honored who shows a high level of social and societal commitment that goes beyond the own company. Among other things, she was a member of the board of the City Parents' Advisory Council for six years, including four years as its chairwoman. In 2019, she received the Citizen's Medal from the City of Frankfurt for her commitment. Since the suicide of her second oldest son Emil in June 2020, she has focused her commitment on the early detection of mental illness in children and adolescents. For this purpose, she founded tomoni mental health as a non-profit company together with her husband, Oliver Puhl, in June 2022. "Children and adolescents should be able to lead a life that is worth living for them and that they are happy with. If mental illnesses occur, they are recognized early on in the school and social environment. Affected people are not overlooked, but receive friendly and competent support," is how Alix Puhl describes tomoni's vision.

With this nomination, the German Startup Association once again honors the topic of mental health. The nomination is not only for Alix Puhl, but for the entire team, the advisory boards and all other people who support tomoni. It takes a village.
